Many breeds, especially in the toy category, and brachycephalic dogs (dogs with extremely flat faces) are genetically predisposed to heavy tearing.
Puppies can experience tearing up to 16-18 months of age due to teething and can again be affected once they become seniors and undergo health issues.

What size of brush do I need?
That depends on the size of your dog. If you have a toy, miniature or medium-sized dog we recommend the small brush. If you have a large dog or are using the kit for stains between skin folds we recommend the large brush.

What is the difference between this kit and the 3 Step Tear Stain Remover Kit for Dogs?
The 3 Step Kit contains an additional product - the Tear Stain Facial Cleanser. If your dog has severe tear stains or stains around the mouth and paws (from licking and drooling) and you bathe your dog at home, then the 3 Step Kit is a better choice.

How often should I use this kit?
You should use this kit daily. Consistency is key. In the case of severe staining use the products morning and night. Once the tear stains have gone you should use the kit once a week for maintenance.
