Formulated to professional veterinarian and animal care standards, Vetoquinol’s Universal Medicated Shampoo is ideal for dogs, cats and horses with:
- Visibly red, dry and/or flaky skin
- Scaly or crusty patches
- Coat that looks and feels greasy
- Mild to moderate itching skin (pruritus)
- Follicular papules and pustules
- Smelly coat
Universal Medicated Shampoo may be used as an adjunctive therapy for the most common dermatological conditions in dogs, cats and horses. Our gentle degreasing follicular flushing formula:
- Provides deep-cleansing action
- Helps diminish scales and crusts
- Nourishes dry, flaky skin
- Helps degrease skin and coat, removing oil that can lead to flaky skin
- Helps fight odors and deodorize your pet’s skin and coat
Our medicated shampoo may be used as an adjunctive therapy for the most common dermatological conditions in dogs, cats and horses. It is ideal for multi-pet households and is gentle enough for routine use on sensitive, allergic or challenged skin.
Chloroxylenol 2% is a safe and effective broad spectrum agent. It promotes healing and protection of healthy skin and coat in dogs, cats and horses. Salicylic Acid 2% has been shown to exfoliate skin, shed dead skin cells and reduce scaling. This ingredient decreases skin pH and increases hydration of keratin for healthier, more comfortable skin. Sodium Thiosulfate 2% has properties and helps your pet’s skin naturally form the building blocks of healthy keratin.
For best results, shake well and thoroughly wet your animal’s coat with tepid water. Massage small amounts of our Universal Medicated Shampoo into the coat, continuously adding water to get better dispersion. Rinse well and repeat procedure. Shampoo may be used weekly or as often as recommended by your veterinarian. Our medicated formula can be used to gently clean and soothe the skin and coat and will not wash away cat or dog flea and tick control products. As with any medicated shampoo, gloves should be worn when applying this product.
